Lottie is a Manchester-based freelance artist who's work is the product of free-flowing fun and experimentation, using paper collage and paint. She is obsessed with colour, pattern and abstract shapes.
Lottie strikes a balance between these elements by initially using paper to play around. Once satisfied with a composition, she assembles intricate collages to help form an idea of what will then be transformed into a large painting. With a focus on different textures in her paintings, she creates small pockets of complex hand-painted patterns which are then encased in large palette knife strokes, giving an incredible juxtaposition of textures in her work.
Lottie also works digitally, paints murals and likes to experiment with installations, calling herself a multidisciplinary artist. In all work she makes, Lottie finds the sweet-spot between playfulness and tranquility, resulting in a quick fix of joy to all that see!
